This heat and that from the core of the earth help in constantly maintaining its temperature at the same level. This is the reason why the earth’s surface is hot in winter and cool in summer.
The concept used by geothermal homes is to use this constant temperature as a heat well to regulate the temperature within the house. This is possible through the use of geothermal heat pumps which are useful for the temperature regulation.
